This is awesome!!! I have been a Doctor Who fan for a good 30 years or so? Is that right?! 30 years? Give or take a few years, I don’t really recall the exact date I started watching Doctor Who back in Wausau, Wisconsin on the local PBS station. Wow! I do know it was some time in the 1980’s and I was still in High School. I remember visiting my favorite local book and comic book store and seeing Doctor Who comic books featuring Tom Collins and not sure what it was all about until one late night Saturday evening, I was bored out of my mind and flipping through the 3 TV stations we could only get on our family TV, we didn’t get cable. I discovered Doctor Who playing on PBS and since I had seen the comic books, decided to watch it. Ever since then, I love the show. Now, I am hunting down every old episode online trying to watch them all. I found some featuring William Hartnell and I just love them. Since Tom Baker was the first actor I had seen play the Doctor, he is my favorite but, I am really enjoying the new Doctors. I wish Christopher Eccleston could have played him a little longer by at least a couple more years but, what are you going to do. Or, even have Paul McGann (played the 8th Doctor) done at least a season to get to enjoy him in action as the Doctor. Anyway, only a true Doctor Who Fan will appreciate this video. Check it out.

Today, I received an email from Sony Pictures showing off the latest image of the new Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield and I must say, I am impressed. It looks better than the other images I have seen of the new Spider-Man. I am still holding my judgement until I get to see a trailer of the movie. I wish they wouldn’t do a reboot and just continue on with, I mean everyone knows about how Spider-Man got started and yadda, yadda… When it comes right down to it, I just hope it is a great film whether it is a reboot or not.Until next time True Believers, Light’em Up!

Purchased another one of Samuel Adam’s sampler packs consisting of their different brews for Spring, I really enjoyed their Winter Brews and I now really enjoying their Spring brews. I poured myself a bottle of the Revolutionary Rye Ale, it came out with a top heavy, thick foam and the color of the beer is a reddish brown. The taste is a bit sweet with a little bit of spice to it but, very delicious. I enjoyed it with the torta I had for dinner.I highly recommend this beer and I am on the hunt to get more.
Until next time, Light’em Up

WOW! What a game! Packers 31-25 over the Steelers and I have to admit during the second half I was starting to have my doubts that the Pack were going to win. The momentum seemed to really shift once the Steelers made their first touchdown but, the Packers defense didn’t give up even after Woodson was injured. I wish Woodson and Driver didn’t have to sit out for the rest of the game but, what are you going to do. Congrats Packers! Lets hope this is a beginning of more trips to the Super Bowl during the next few more years. Now, I need to put my lucky hat away to rest up for next year and get me one of those Packer Super Bowl XLV hats.GO PACK GO! FINALLY! This week is done and tomorrow is the Big Event I have been waiting for since 1/23/11 and it feels like it has been over a month ago and not a couple of weeks ago. I have to admit, I am more excited about this Super Bowl than any other Super Bowl since 1998. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy watching the Super Bowl and have never missed one since I can remember but, it is different when you favorite team is in the championship game. I have spent hours checking out ESPN.com, NFL.com and Packers.com… Heck, I have even checked out XX1090’s videos when I can for videos on this Super Bowl’s media day(s).I gotta tell ya Packer Fans, I have had several different dreams about XLV, some I can remember and others just bits and pieces. Like the nightmare I wrote about in a previous post.

I really would like to see Donald Driver and Charles Woodson to finally get a Super Bowl ring and yes, I want Aaron to have his own too. I don’t think Rodgers feels that there is a monkey on his back and he shouldn’t… I believe, he is a future hall of famer and I would really like to see him get that coveted ring as well. And, I just have to say I started to really James Stark… I think it would be great to see him get one too. Ever since I had seen the video of his interview after the NFC Championship Game, there is something about this young man’s spirit that I admire. I have a link of it below, check it out. Anyway… I am rambling and could go on and on but, will spare ya.
All I have left to say is, “Green and yellow, Green and yellow… Go Pack Go!” Check out the second link below to see what I am referring to. I will be listening to it all day and tomorrow up until the time of kick off. Where ever you are and who ever you are rooting for… Have fun and stay safe.

What a gorgeous day we had here in Southern California, it was close to 80 degrees and I was outside doing yard work. When I finished my chores my wife handed me an ice cold Apricot Ale brewed by the Pyramid Brewery. I am not a picky person and always try to give things a chance. When I first took a swig of this ale it was ice cold and nearly polished it off but, I have to tell you this ale tasted pretty good until the apricot after taste kicked in and I just didn’t like this beer. My wife loves it but, for some reason I just don’t like my beer having this strong apricot taste. It is strange how I can like Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock but, not Pyramid’s Apricot Ale. All I can say is, give it a try… I don’t think it is bad beer, it just isn’t my taste. If you happen to like apricots and think it will go good with beer then, I highly recommend it but, if you are like me and don’t really care for the flavor of apricots, what the heck… Give it a try. It isn’t going to kill you. In the meantime be sure to stop your favorite cigar shop and Light’em Up!

When I was a young lad, back in the early um… Yeah… Let’s just say back when I was 5 or 6 years old, I always envisioned us, Man, would be traveling in flying cars and have walking/talking robots to do our bidding by the time the 21st Century came around. Hey! I had big dreams or an imagination back when I was a kid. So, that by the time the year 2000 came around I was very disappointed I didn’t have a flying car or a home up in the clouds, like they do in the Jetsons.
Anyway, I digress… I was surfing the Internet earlier this evening and looking at my favorite news sites and discovered this little article on TheSun.co.ukwebsite about US scientists setting a record for a walking "robot." It is remote control but, still extremely impressive in my humble opinion.
Now that I think about it. I am still amazed by the robots or rovers we sent to Mars and how we can control them remotely all the way back here on Earth.
Anyway, here is to hoping I will have my own little R2D2 running around to make me a dry martini, cut and light my stogie for me. Ah, now that would be life. Speaking about the weather, I forgot that my co-worker, who is also from the Mid-West informed me this past week that Wausau, WI was hit by a lit of rain and was flooded… I just remembered that now and had to check out the Wausau Daily Herald to find out more about this story. Sounds like a story out of California, not Wisconsin… Click here for the story…

No, I am not talking about some porno… I am talking about the weather here in So. Cal.
Yes, it is Summer and I realize it is supposed to be hot during the Summer months and no, I don’t believe in the Global Warming crap either…. I am commenting on yesterday’s and today’s weather due to the fact it was only last week or so ago, when the temps here in So. Cal. felt like they were below normal. It was much cooler and it seemed had more grey cloudy days than we normally do where I live.
I was surprised by the fact we actually ended up with quite a bit of rain yesterday. At about 3 pm yesterday, I was at work and for some reason, I looked out my window and I could see nothing but a huge, dark storm cloud that filled up the sky and within seconds I could hear the loud thunder booms. I didn’t see the lightening. As I was driving home from work at about 4:30 pm, I could see the rain in the horizon but, it didn’t hit my home town until I was home with the kids. It was so hot and humid, I decided to open up all of the windows in the house and set up a few fans. I just love rain storms.Today, no rain but, again very hot and humid. I hope it is this hot tomorrow as I am planning on spending the entire day in the pool with some tasty umbrella drink mixed up with Rum.Until next… Light’em UP!
