What a gorgeous day we had here in Southern California, it was close to 80 degrees and I was outside doing yard work. When I finished my chores my wife handed me an ice cold Apricot Ale brewed by the Pyramid Brewery. I am not a picky person and always try to give things a chance. When I first took a swig of this ale it was ice cold and nearly polished it off but,  I have to tell you this ale tasted pretty good until the apricot after taste kicked in and I just didn’t like this beer. My wife loves it but, for some reason I just don’t like my beer having this strong apricot taste. It is strange how I can like Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock but, not Pyramid’s Apricot Ale. All I can say is, give it a try… I don’t think it is bad beer, it just isn’t my taste.

If you happen to like apricots and think it will go good with beer then, I highly recommend it but, if you are like me and don’t really care for the flavor of apricots, what the heck… Give it a try. It isn’t going to kill you. In the meantime be sure to stop your favorite cigar shop and Light’em Up!
