I know, a little late but, what the heck.I had a Great Easter with my family celebrating in Hemet, California. Right after a good Romeo y Julieta Habana Reserve cigar, I pigged out on home made ceviche, home made beer battered fish tacos, carna asada, beans and rice. My mouth is now watering and my tummy is grumbling just thinking about it now. I washed it all down with an ice cold Dos Equis.I can’t tell a lie, I will forget what happened yesterday…. Hey, I am old man… The memory isn’t as good as it used to be. The Easter Earthquake of 2010. This is one of the reason I am adding this blog, to record to help me remember the event. Anyway… From what I gather, a 7.2 earthquake hit Baja, California. We were at Joe’s, my Brother-in-Law, house in Hemet and I remember I had to go back to my car to get something, I don’t remember what it was and it isn’t really important so, I walked up the drive way, through the house and into the backyard when… Again, I don’t remember but, soemone “Do you feel that?” “Its an earthquake!” and that is when I felt it and it felt like a small shake that lasted less than a second to me. I didn’t think it was a big deal considering at the time I didn’t know the size of the quake or its location.Immediately, someone turned on the TV in the backyard to find out it hit in Baja, CA and they claimed it was a 7.2. That is a pretty big one in my humble opinion and I was happy to hear that there were no reports of serious damage or no one got hurt. I haven’t had time to check the news for details but, I will… I wanted to record this event first.
