VERY COOL!!! Zippo is releasing a new butane lighter. I subscribe to the CigarCyclopedia.com‘s newsletter and found this article on their website. After clicking on the link to the article you will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to read it. I found the Zippo Blu website, ZippoBlu.com. From what their site states we should be seeing them in the USA some time in August or this Fall.

Zippo back to butane:
As we’ve noted many times before, it’s amazing what you can find on eBay.
Although Zippo is perhaps the most famous name in lighters, it has not been the cigar smoker’s lighter of choice. The famed Zippo lighter developed in 1932 uses fluid, which can influence the taste of a cigar. Butane gas is preferred by cigar lovers and Zippo has heard the call.
A new design called the Zippo BLU is currently available in Europe and will be introduced to the U.S. later this year. It not only uses butane, but is Zippo’s first torch-style lighter and has a unique, Zippo-style, single-hand-action flywheel sparker similar to its fluid lighter. The “BLU” name refers to the blue-colored torch flame. http://www.cigarcyclopedia.com/news/news.php?c=journal&id=842.
